Carson B. Ernst

Carson Benedict Ernst -48, formerly of Maitland, Lunenburg Co., lost his battle with addiction on Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Lunenburg. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Ina (Oickle) Nelson and the late Paul Ernst. For a number of years Carson had been a scallop and clam fisherman. He is survived by his mother; his children, Athena Ernst and her life partner, Shawn Morrison, Western Shore; Sheena Ernst and her life partner, Josh Zinck, Hubbards; Andrea and Amber, New Brunswick; 4 granddaughters; the mother of his children, Catherine Childs, Newburne; a sister, Donna Fancey and her husband, Peter, Upper Northfield; brothers, Clyde Oickle and his wife, Alva, Maitland; Elvis Ernst and his wife, Deborah, Maitland; Leonard Ernst and his wife, Hope, Parkdale; a special cousin, Margaret Crouse, Bridgewater; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. No visiting. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, July 8 at Christ Church, Maitland, Rev. Ian Wissler and Rev. Linda MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
