Pearl E. Lockhead

Pearl Elizabeth Lockhead (nee Ernst). Age 98 of Halifax, passed away June 9, 2016 at the Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax.

Born in Blockhouse, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert and Bessie (Slauenwhite) Ernst.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Marie MacLeod (John Jollimore), Hubbards; niece, Donna Ernst; sister, Jean Crossland, Mahone Bay; brother, Lester Ernst, North Sydney; many nieces and nephews.

Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lockhead (of Glasgow, Scotland); brothers, Carl, Gordon, Murray, Thomas and Robert.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Pearl had taught English Smocking for nearly 70 years in Toronto and Halifax and was an avid hockey fan for many years.

Visiting hours will be held 11am to 12pm Monday, June 13 at Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay followed by a graveside service at 2pm in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse, Pastor Adam Snook officiating.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay.
