P. Dawn Swinimer

1933-2005

SWINIMER, Pauline Dawn - 72, Western Shore. Our wonderful mother left us on Friday, December 16 at home with her family by her side. Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and May DeCourcey. Dawns hard work took her to Moirs Chocolate factory in her younger years. Dawn met the love of her life, Fred, and married in 1948. Dawn was a professional homemaker, raising her son, Harry and taking care of her household chores. Over the years this social butterfly has special friends and family fill her home with love and laughter. This prompt, soft spoken, kind-hearted woman will be sadly missed. She is survived by her newly found daughter, Gerri Probe, Kamloops, B.C.; son, Harry, Western Shore; sister, Evelyn Smith, Halifax; half-brothers, Donald DeCourcey, Yarmouth; John DeCourcey, Toronto; brother-in-law Roy (Wilma) Swinimer, Western Shore; sister-in-law, Nettie Zwicker, Chester Basin; niece, Lola Smith, Halifax; nephew, Harold (Darlene) Smith, Martins Point. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred; brothers, Walter DeCourcey; Cecil DeCourcey; sister-in-law, Alma Swinimer; brothers-in-law, Austin Swinimer; Ronald Swinimer. Visiting and viewing hours will be 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2005 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay and from where a memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2005 Archdeacon Duanne Tanswell officiating. Burial will be in Western Shore Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
