Emmeline L. Oickle

Emmeline Letitia Oickle -71, formerly of Blockhouse, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay following a
lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.

Emma demonstrated true courage as she faced each day. Born in Middlewood she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Blanche (Johnson) Zwicker. She was a member of St. James' Anglican Church, Mahone Bay and a past member of the Women's Institute, Blockhouse. She was employed for many years at National Sea Products, Lunenburg.

She is survived by son, Keith (Darlene) Oickle, Prospect Bay; daughter, Wendy (Walter) Buchanan, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Greg Oickle and Kim
Oickle; step-grandchildren, Walter Buchanan and Ian Buchanan; sisters, Grace McCarthy, Wileville; Shirley Zwicker, Kentville; June (Douglas) Stewart,
Hebb's Cross; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay (902-624-8241). Memorial
service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2008 in St. James' Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Father Ian M. Wissler officiating. Burial will
be in Garden of Rest, Blockhouse.
