Joyce S. (Bruhm) Hamm

Joyce Shirley (Bruhm) Hamm - 88 of Mahone Bay died at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on July 26, 2012. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Alice (Smith) Lantz.

She is survived by sons, Darrell (Betty) Bruhm, Dartmouth; Jerome (Gail) Bruhm, Halifax; daughters, Beverly (Donnie) Ernst, Mahone Bay; Linda (David) Piercey, Gatineau, Quebec; grandsons, Kevin (Lori), Jonathan (Terra) and Adrian Bruhm; Richard (Jennifer) Ernst; granddaughters, Karen (David) Crowe, Paula (Troy) Snider, Jennifer, Carissa (Ben), Susan (Mike) Piercey; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd and Donald Lantz; twin sister, Kathleen Machan; sister, Marjorie (Alfred) O’Quinn.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick M. C. Bruhm; second husband, Vincent “Chummie” Hamm; brother, Carl Lantz; sisters, Frances Simpson, Jessie Aulenback, Elaine and Beulah Lantz; grandson, David R. Ernst; step-mother, Selena (Misener) Lantz.

No visiting. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 30 at St. James’ Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Barbara Minard officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James’ Anglican Church; Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or The Arthritis Society.
