June E. Veinotte

June Elizabeth Veinotte -79, of Clearland, Lun Co., passed away November 10, 2012 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born June 11, 1933 in Fauxburg, she was a daughter of the late Harris and Harriet Ruth (Morash) Slauenwhite.

June loved flowers and enjoyed tending her flower garden and pots around the house. In earlier years, she spent time doing needlework and crocheting.

June is survived by her companion, Floyd Crossland, Clearland; daughters, Susan Levy (James Wile), Laconia; Debbie Dorey (Darrell), Middle Cornwall; Cathy Lohnes (Norman Veinot), Pleasantville; son, Peter Veinotte, Blockhouse; seven grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Tanner, Stonehurst; Emma Kaizer, Riverport; Sylvia Zinck, First South; brothers, Phillip Slauenwhite, Lunenburg, Ronald Slauenwhite, Blockhouse.

She was predeceased by twin sister, Joyce Joudrey; sister, Doris Lohnes; brothers, Stephen, Earl and Murray Slauenwhite; grandson, Christopher Levy.

Visiting will be 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay and where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012, Rev. Stephen Kristenson officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland.

Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Parkinson Society Maritime Region.
