Sheila Hope Campbell

Sheila Hope Campbell, of Halifax, passed away peacefully, in the company of her family, on Monday, September 12th 2022 , at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS.

Sheila was born in Gold River and was the daughter of the late Moyle and Mary (Sawler) Rafuse. Sheila was a great mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone. She was "Nan" to her two grandsons, Liam and Nolan, who were her pride and joy. Sheila loved to go dancing and play bingo in her spare time with her "bingo girls". She also loved cheering on the Leafs and Blue Jays along with watching her son and grandsons playing hockey. She had a long career with the Provincial Tax Commission and after retirement she spent her time travelling to Florida and British Columbia to visit her son Jason and family.

Sheila is survived by her son, Jason and wife, Kerry, along with grandsons, Liam and Nolan. She is also survived by her long-time companion, Bryce Mader, Dartmouth; brother, William (Bonnie) Rafuse, Gold River; brother-in-law, Roy Myra, Gold River; nieces, Terry Joan, Lucinda, Candace, Ashley and Dionne; nephews, Jimmy, Tony, Robert and Blake.

Sheila is predeceased by her three sisters, Joan McPherson, Fran Myra and Dawna Mitchell. She is also predeceased by her niece, Tanya Faulkner and nephews, Richard Boutilier and Trevor Sawler.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service at 1:00 pm Friday July 14th 2023 at Western Shore Cemetery, Western Shore, The Rev. Shirley Carras officiating.

A reception will follow at the Western Shore Legion, Western Shore.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
