June Donna Rose
1946-2024
She was married to her husband, Bill for 51 years until his passing in 2020. They enjoyed spending time with friends and family and taking daily drives around the County to spend time by the ocean. They had an especially close connection with their Newfoundland friends and family.
June enjoyed playing cards, bingo, knitting, scrapbooking, making beet pickles & cranberry jelly and spending time at Graves Island with family and friends. She was an associate and Ladies Auxillary member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Harding Br. No. 144 Western Shore and after the death of her son, Dwight “Butch”, was an active volunteer with MADD Canada.
She is survived by daughter, Vivian, son-in-law, Peter and granddaughters, Angela and Amy Rafuse of East Chester, along with brothers, Cecil, David (Kathy) Joudrey of Martin’s Point and sister, Sylvia (Kevin) Veinotte of New Brunswick. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Roy (Christine) Rose, Rhodes Corner, sister-in-law, Leona (Robert) Levy of LaHave, sister-in-law, Christine Rose, Bonavista, Newfoundland, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, William (Bill) Rose, son Dwight (Butch) Joudrey, twin sister, Judy Rafuse and sister, Ruby Dennis.
A graveside service will be held at Western Shore Cemetery laying June and Bill to rest together, on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Cherry Workman officiating. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Harding Br. No. 144 Western Shore.
