Rosella Aileen "Rose" Nauss

Rosella Aileen "Rose" (Westhaver) Nauss, age 87 of Bridgewater, passed away January 13, 2025 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. She was the daughter of the late Phyllis (Westhaver) Oickle.

She was a member of Christ Church, Maitland; a member of the St. James Mahone Bay ACW & Knitting groups plus a member of the Bridgewater TOPS chapter.

She is survived by sons, Richard (Gail) Nauss and Robert (Geraldine) Nauss: daughters, Cynthia (Timothy) Sims, Donna (Arden) Deal, Sandra (John) Rafuse, Gail (David) Ernst and Juliette (Jeff) Duffenais: grandsons, Stephen (Tammy) Nauss and Evan (Racheal) Sims; granddaughters, Christa (Luke) Nauss, April Rafuse, Stephanie(Nathanael) Swinamer, Melissa(Matthew) Rankin, Jasmine and Jillian Duffenais; step-grandchildren, Alex and Jessica Barkhouse; great grandsons, Brady Goodwin, Henry Sims and Jack Rankin and great granddaughter, Hailey Nauss-Horstman; sisters, Margaret Crouse and Joyce Eagle.

She was predeceased by husband, Walter Nauss (2010); grandson, Matthew Deal (2013); brothers, Keith Oickle and Clifford Eichel and sister, Florence Selig.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, January 20, 2025 at Christ Church, Maitland. Rev. Dr. Patti Brace officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at St. James Anglican Parish Hall, 14 Parish St., Mahone Bay. A private family interment to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Church, Maitland or St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay.
