Barry Herbert Rich

RICH, Barry Herbert - 81, passed away January 17, 2012 at Maplestone Enhanced Care, Halifax.

Barry was born March 4, 1930 in Toronto to Hebert and Frances Rich.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Heather (Wentzell);brother-in-laws, Douglas (Sandra Barkhouse), and Derek (Sue Bookchin), all of Oakland, Lynn (Dianne), Gander, NFLD; nieces, Laura Wentzell and Rebecca Wentzell, both of Toronto; Jessica Wentzell, Halifax; nephew, Jeremy Wentzell, Toronto.

He was a Curator for Parks Canada. Barry’s hobbies were military artistry and making model ships with his brother-in-law, Douglas.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, 6009 Quinpool Road, Suite 300 Halifax, NS B3K 5J7.
